After the victory of Donald Trump, the madness of leftists and black racists spread as the fire throughout North America and culminated in the demolition of monuments of the Confederacy and the campaign to rewrite history. With the far-reaching goals: under the slogan of fighting for equality they try to erase the heroic past of the Southern States, and then demolish the historical heritage of all the whites on the continent, starting with Columbus. The action gave birth to the opposition: the monument to General Robert Edward Lee in Charlottesville, Virginia, which was attacked by cultural Marxists, gathered his defenders. First they gathered to the night rally with torches under the slogan “You will not replace us!”, then began the clashes. The result: one dead and 34 injured. In October there was another torch rally near the monument. Executive Director of the Institute for national policy (think tank of the American “Alt-right”) Evan McLaren told the author of the Vespa magazine Igor Sivzevsky about those who came to protect the monument at a critical point in the struggle for racial identity of the United States. Who were the people who gathered to the torch rallies? – There were three separate torch rallies. The rallies in May and October were attended by people to whom we are directly connected–either as employees of the National Policy Institute, or members of groups with whom we are friendly. Identity Evropa was at both rallies in large numbers. The torch rally in August was attended by a much larger, broader group of people, including those with whom we are not directly connected. Why there is a big movement now, with Trump as POTUS, to rewrite American history and ban Confederate heritage? – There are a lot of complex reasons why there is such a forceful move against Trump and examples of White heritage like that represented by the symbols of the confederacy. A movement to alter the racial identity of the country has been underway for a long time, and it is now reaching a crisis point. Both those who favor and those who oppose it, as well as those who are only just becoming aware of its significance, sense that we are approaching a potentially decisive historical moment. Have the Charlottesville authorities already decided what they will do with Rober E. Lee statue in the park? – I’m not sure whether Charlottesville authorities have conclusively decided what to do with the Lee statue. Regardless, we are going to continue to demonstrate in favor of retaining that monument, and others around the country. Are you going to rebuild the monument in Durham? – I’m not personally aware of the circumstances surrounding the Durham monument. How often are you going to continue torch rallies? Maybe in the other towns? – Torch rallies will be undertaken on a case-by-case basis. When we do another, you will certainly hear about it!
